Glock Mag Adapter - Pistol Caliber carbines were very popular. The original 9mm AR-15 was made by Colt and used modified UZI magazines. With the popularity of AR pistols, fewer people can use Glock pistol magazines anymore. However, if you don't want to buy a new scope, check out the Stern Defense MAG-AD9. A Glock magazine adapter that works in the lower compartment of an AR-15.
With the Stern Defense mag adapter (MAG-AD9), you can use 9x19mm and .40s&w magazines on your AR-15 rifle. You install the mag adapter the same way you would an AR magazine. The AR mag holder serves as a shelf to hold the mag adapter. There is a pivoting delrin block that slides into the mag well to help keep the power adapter in place.

There are screws on the bottom of the mag adapter. If you close it, the block of leather comes out.

The bottom of the MAG-AD9 has soft screws that go up under the AR magwell. This pushes the adapter down, and since the AR mag handle is tight to the mag adapter, this opposing force holds the adapter firmly in place.
Make sure you don't push to eject your Glock magazine, as the mag holder functions as a standard adapter tray. The Stern MAG-AD9 has a separate magazine that you can see below. If you are right-handed, you can press with your finger.
If you're left-handed, you can reach with your index finger and press the magazine release button when the magazine is ejected from the well.
One of the advantages of the MAG-AD9 is that it has some magazine adapters, and although it's inferior to the 9mm AR, it still has the ultimate grip. See the metal parts? The follower is push and there is a cam that helps the bolt rise to hold the final stage. In the picture on the front of the magazine, you can see the dirty but nickel-boron steel feed channel.

Now if you have the Stern Defense mag adapter, you should also get the 9mm bolt. You can make a top 9mm, not much if you look around. Blemish AR barrels can cost around $50, and 9mm AR barrels can cost around $100. So what you need is a defender. Choosing a 9mm bolt is important. You can use a 9mm compatible Colt mag bolt, but you have to send it to Stern so they can cut the bolt to fit the final round bolt position on the power adapter. Or just buy the bolts. Nickel-boron coated for easy cleaning. Just wipe with a cloth.
The latest version of Stern Defense's 9mm bolt action is now compatible with JP's silencer springs and LAW Tactical folding adapters. This bolt will also work with Fostech echo triggers. It comes with a weight inside the bolt. If you want to use the JP Silent Capture springs or the LAW tactical folding adapter, you remove the screws and free up the weight.
The Stern Defense MAG-AD9 also retails for $179.99 and new bolts for $169.99. You can run 9mm all you want, but their bolts offer more features than other 9mm bolts. A power adapter is an inexpensive way to operate a 9mm AR. Of course, you can buy the 9mm lower separately, but you have to complete the build with the lower parts, bolt, buffer spring, pistol grip, buffer tube, and stock. For a cheaper 9mm Glock magazine, you'll spend more than $180. In addition to saving money, the MAG-AD9 will work with M16 autos. So if you have a loaded trigger, you just throw in a MAG-AD9 and shoot a 9mm on top, and now you have a 9mm pistol.
